Krantijyoti Vidyalay Review: A Deep Dive into Marathi Medium Cinema

Original Title: Krantijyoti Vidyalay - Marathi Madhyam

MOVIE

So I was s'posed to be asleep but, ngl, this movie got me hooked. Just finished watching Krantijyoti Vidyalay - A Deep Dive into Marathi Medium Cinema - & I mean, wow. I was legit on the edge of my seat - like literally - & it's like 1am now. Definately didn't plan for this. But hey, ain't no regrets tho.

I gotta tell you - this movie, it was something else. I mean, the plot - simple but so powerful, you know? It's about these students & teachers from a Marathi school - their school's gonna be demolished and some international school is gonna be built in its place. You can feel the tension, the struggle - it's real, it hits home. They're fighting for their school, their culture, their language - everything that's important to them - & it's just so raw & authentic. You can't help but root for them. It's intense, no kidding.

The characters though - they're so well written, so well acted. You feel for them, like, really feel for them. And it's not just the students - the teachers, the parents, the community - they're all in it together. It's a collective struggle - it's their struggle. The dialogues are sharp, the emotions are high - it's a rollercoaster of feelings. And the way the personal challenges are shown - it's so human, so relatable. Like, you know, when that one teacher breaks down - it got me. I mean, I was lowkey tearing up. It was so real, so raw - it was like I was right there with them. And the way they stand up for their school, their culture - it's inspiring, like legit inspiring.

I gotta say though - the movie does make you think. It's not just about the struggle - it's about the need for change too. It's about preserving what's important, but also moving forward, you know? It's a tough balance - & the movie does a great job of showing that. It's a thought-provoker, fr fr.

But then - & this is a big but - there were parts that kinda annoyed me. Like, some parts felt a bit dragged, you know? And there were a couple of scenes that felt a bit forced - like they were trying too hard to make a point. But overall, I loved it. It was good, like really good. I mean, damn, it was solid.

Oh btw, this reminded me of when I watched another Marathi movie - Natsamrat. Same intensity, same rawness. Makes you appreciate Marathi cinema, you know? They're doing some great stuff. And it's not just about the entertainment - it's about the message, the impact. It's powerful.

Bottom line - if you're into movies that make you think, that move you, that hit you right in the feels - you gotta watch this. It's a gem, no doubt. It's like if Taare Zameen Par & Rang De Basanti had a baby & that baby decided to go all Marathi on you. It's that good, trust me. I mean, it's 1am & I'm here writing this review - that says something, right?

So yeah, that's my take on Krantijyoti Vidyalay - A Deep Dive into Marathi Medium Cinema. Worth the watch, for sure. Now I gotta get some sleep - got work in the morning. But hey, totally worth it. Night!
