Andhra King Taluka Review: A Royal Journey through Indian Cinematic Landscape

Original Title: Andhra King Taluka

MOVIE

So I was like supposed to be asleep but then I decided to watch this movie my sister recommended - Andhra King Taluka Review: A Royal Journey through Indian Cinematic Landscape - & honestly guys - I'm shook. Like this movie was good, like really good, I mean damn it was solid. It's 1am, I'm tired as hell, but I couldn't sleep untill I put down my thoughts.

This movie was about this dude named Sagar - he's a massive fan of this actor Surya Kumar - aka the "Andhra King". So this guy's whole life is just about his love for this actor - it's wild. I mean, it's kinda like how I feel about pizza - I'd marry it if I could, right? But this guy takes it to a whole new level - he literally lives & breathes Surya Kumar. It's wierd but lowkey relatable - I mean haven't we all been obsessed with a celeb at some point? It kinda reminded me of my ex tho - she was deadass obsessed with Harry Styles - like had his posters everywhere & stuff - kinda creepy tbh.

The movie was like if 'Fan' & 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' had a baby & that baby watched too much of 'The Kapil Sharma Show'. It was intense, funny, emotional - all in one. Some parts were annoying tho - like the songs - they were so random & felt forced - but overall yeah, I loved it. It was good, like really good, I mean damn it was solid. The performances were on point - the actor who played Sagar - man he killed it - got me all teary-eyed & shit.

And the climax - oh boy - it was unexpected. I'm not gonna spoil it for you but let's just say it was an emotional rollercoaster - one moment I was laughing & the next I was crying. It was a hot mess but in a good way, you know? Btw, this reminded me of when I watched 'The Lion King' as a kid - I cried like a baby when Mufasa died - this movie had that same effect on me.

Speaking of crying - my roommate hated it - said it was too melodramatic - but I thought it was perfect - just the right amount of drama & comedy. I mean, isn't that what Indian cinema is all about? It's over the top, dramatic, but it's also real - it's a reflection of our lives. Oh btw, I watched this after work - I was so tired but the movie was so good that I forgot about how exhausted I was.

I'm lowkey gonna rewatch it tomorrow - it was that good. It's wierd but I miss it already - is that normal? Anyway, if you're a fan of Indian cinema - this is a must-watch. It's like a love letter to fans - it's beautiful, touching, & real. It's like if The Office & Inception had a baby & that baby watched too much TikTok - it's a cinematic masterpiece. I loved it... well actually parts of it annoyed me but overall yeah I loved it. It was awesome - definately a must-watch. So guys, check it out & let me know what you think. I'm gonna go to sleep now - I'm prolly gonna dream about Surya Kumar tho - but that's a story for another time.
