Original Title: Dude
MOVIE
So I was supposed to be asleep but - you know me - I ended up watching this movie instead. My sister recommended this & honestly - I was like, lowkey skeptical at first - but damn it was good. I mean like, really good. Like if The Office & Inception had a baby & that baby watched too much TikTok kinda good.
So the movie was about these two childhood friends - Agan & Kural. They're like, inseparable or whatever. But then Kural starts having romantic problems & Agan is stuck in this wierd spot where he's gotta balance his secret feelings for her while trying to help her out. I mean, it's a mess - but like a good mess, you know? It got me so hooked that I forgot to eat my popcorn - & that's a big deal for me, fr fr.
The whole thing was like a rollercoaster of teenage antics & emotions - I mean, it was intense. Some parts were so real - like, I swear it was like watching my own life on screen. It reminded me of my ex somehow lol - but that's a story for another day. Anyway - where was I? Oh yeah, the movie. So it was good - like, really good - I mean, I was deadass surprised at how good it was.
I gotta admit, some parts of the movie did annoy me tho. Like, there were a few scenes that were kinda cheesy & predictable. But overall, it was a solid flick. The acting was on point - Agan & Kural's chemistry was like, off the charts. I mean, I was rooting for them the whole time - even though parts of their relationship were kinda problematic.
Oh btw, this reminded me of when I watched The Fault in Our Stars - I mean, the whole "friends to lovers" thing is a bit clichΓ©, but they managed to pull it off in a fresh & interesting way. The soundtrack was bomb too - it had this indie vibe that fit the tone of the movie perfectly. I'm prolly gonna look up the songs later.
The ending tho - man, the ending. I won't spoil it for you, but let's just say it's one of those endings that leaves you thinking long after the movie's over. It's like, it was bittersweet, but in a good way, you know? I mean, I was kinda hoping for a happy ending - but the way they ended it was more realistic & true to the characters.
So yeah, I loved it... well actually parts of it annoyed me but overall yeah I loved it. I mean, I watched this after work & it was the perfect way to unwind. My roommate hated it tho - but she's more into horror movies, so I don't really trust her judgement. Anyway, it's like 1am & I should prolly go to bed. But yeah, if you haven't watched Dude Movie Review: A Rollercoaster Ride of Teenage Antics and Emotions yet, you should def check it out. It's a wild ride, fr fr.
