De De Pyaar De 2: A Love Saga Revisited - Detailed Review

Original Title: De De Pyaar De 2

MOVIE

So I was supposed to be asleep but nope - here I am typing a review on my phone at 1am. My sister recommended this & honestly - I just finished watching De De Pyaar De 2: A Love Saga Revisited - ngl, it was good - like really good. I mean seriously - it was solid. Fr fr.

I mean, it was a typical Bollywood movie - you know the kind - romance, drama, songs & then some more drama. But this one - it was different. It was like if The Office & Inception had a baby & that baby watched too much TikTok. Highkey, it was kinda wierd. But wierd in a good way, you know?

So Ashish, the main dude - I loved him - well, actually parts of him annoyed me but overall yeah, I loved him. His character was so well fleshed out & the way he handled the age-gap romance - it was something else. And Ayesha - man, she was a breath of fresh air. I liked her - no, I loved her - she was real, you know? Not like the typical Bollywood heroines - she was different.

There were some scenes though - like, literally, I was on the edge of my seat. The part where Ashish visits Ayesha's family home - man, that was intense. I gotta admit, I didn't see the twist coming. It was good - no, it was great. I mean it was a proper Bollywood-style twist but it was done so well.

I watched this after work & I was tired but this movie - it kept me up, kept me hooked. My roommate hated it though - said it was too melodramatic. But what does he know, right? He thinks The Godfather is boring. I mean, come on!

Now about the music - it was catchy - not gonna lie, I've been humming the songs since I finished watching. The soundtrack is gonna be on repeat for the next few days, I can tell. I mean, it was that good.

The end was kinda predictable - but not in a bad way. It was satisfying - like when you finish a good book, you know? I liked it - no, I loved it. I mean, it was a happy ending - just the way I like it.

But there were some parts - like the part where Ashish & Ayesha have a fight - it was so real, so raw. It was like watching a real couple fight - not the over-the-top Bollywood fights. It was refreshing to see that on screen.

Oh btw this reminded me of when I watched something similar - I can't remember the name though. It was another age-gap romance - but it was nowhere near as good as this one. This one - it was different. It was real. It was honest.

So yeah - that's my review. I loved it - well, most of it. Some parts were kinda draggy - but overall, it was a great watch. If you're into Bollywood movies - or even if you're not - give it a watch. It's worth it. Trust me.

And now, I'm off to bed. Not gonna lie, I'm deadass tired. But it was worth it. It was definately worth it. Until next time, folks.
