Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 Review: A Rollercoaster of Love and Laughter

Original Title: Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2

MOVIE

yo - so i was supposed to be asleep hours ago but ngl I got sucked into this bollywood movie my sister recommended - Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 - & damn, was it a wild ride. like, honestly, i'm not even a huge bollywood fan - i mean, sure, i've seen a few here & there, but this one was kinda different, you know?

so the plot - kapil, right? he's this guy who's in love with one woman but then - get this - he accidentally marries three other women. yes, three. like, how does that even happen tho? it's like if The Hangover & The Bachelor had a baby & that baby grew up watching too much of those wierd tiktok love triangles. it's just so out there - so crazy - but honestly, i was here for it.

& the women - each one from a different religion - muslim, christian, & hindu. talk about diversity - i mean, it was definately unique, but also kinda problematic? like, i couldn't help but feel like they were just using religion as a plot device - & not in a good way. but then again, it's bollywood - it's supposed to be over the top, right?

the comedy - it was good, like really good. i mean, i was laughing my ass off at 1am - & that's saying something. i mean, i'm usually deadass tired by this time, but this movie kept me awake & entertained. kapil's comedic timing was on point - he had me in stitches, fr fr.

but let's talk about the love - it was beautiful, but also confusing? like, kapil loves one woman but then he's married to three others? i mean, i get it - it's a comedy, it's not supposed to make sense - but it was still kinda hard to follow. & honestly, i kinda felt bad for the women - like, they deserved better than kapil. no offense to him, but he was kinda a jerk in the movie.

oh btw this reminded me of when i watched Love Actually for the first time - it had that same feel-good, love-is-all-around vibe. & i gotta say, it was nice to see a movie that wasn't afraid to be silly & romantic - even if it was a bit over the top. side note - i watched this after a long day at work & it was the perfect way to unwind.

but overall, i loved it. well, parts of it annoyed me - like the whole religion thing - & kapil could've been a better guy. but the comedy & the love story - it was good, really good. i mean, it's not gonna win any oscars or anything, but it's a solid bollywood flick - & i'd definately recommend it. it's like a rollercoaster of love & laughter, you know?

so yeah, that's my review. it's late, i'm tired, & i should've been asleep hours ago. but this movie - it was worth it. & honestly, i might even watch it again tomorrow. it's that good, fr fr.
